Dealing with Wedding Stress!
1. Talk About It
Wedding planning can be stressful—you never really know what could happen. But remember, you're not alone. You have your partner and your family to lean on. When you share your worries—like the decor not turning out the way you envisioned—you might realize that your guests are focused more on you than the table settings.
2. Exercise and Dance!
Wedding planning can be exciting, but all that pent-up, heart-racing energy can easily turn into anxiety and stress. Try channeling that energy into movement—go for a walk or a jog and let the endorphins lift your mood and calm your nerves.
3. Don’t Be Afraid to Have Boundaries
Wedding guests can sometimes be overbearing, especially if there’s family drama involved. Remember, this is your and your fiancé’s day. Don’t let anyone pressure you into doing something you might regret later. Boundaries are a form of self-respect, and you’re allowed to protect your peace.
4. Accept the Unexpected
Our wedding day may not unfold exactly how you imagined—and that’s okay. If you already knew exactly how it would go, where’s the magic? Regret is built on an imagined reality of “what could have happened,” not on what would have happened. What matters is what did happen—and often, it's the unexpected, joyful moments that make the day unforgettable.
5. Be excited! Look forward to your big day!
Even if the worst happens—like your wedding dress goes missing on the big day or the cake collapses before anyone gets a slice—you still had all those joyful months leading up to it. You spent time dreaming, planning, and looking forward to celebrating with your loved ones. That excitement, that sense of “something wonderful is coming,” is a part of the experience too—and it’s something no mishap can take away.
